I got my first SLR camera, a Nikon EM, when I was 13 years old. I still have it, light leak and all, but now I shoot mostly digital. My photos reflect where I tend to be: San Francisco, Berkeley, Oakland and the occasional far corner of the world. Much of what I experience is urban—subways, buildings, random industrial curiosities—so my photos tend to reflect that. But I also love photographing landscapes and whatever else I happen by.
My hope is that my work captures the unexpected in the things we see every day.
